Tasty Kale

IMG_4810

Some of our Aberdeen Angus X cattle strip grazing kale on the farm.

This is the first time we have grown kale for over 30 years the last time we grew it in these fields was in the late 1970’s
when it was grown for the dairy cows we used to have at Springfield Farm in Westcott.

It’s great winter cattle feed high in starch and protein we supplement the fibre requirement with grass silage.

Late Lambing Starts

Late lambing got underway in the last week. So far a good solid start.
Highlights so far the wet weather and this little lamb with one white and one black front leg
